Nurses

Our nursing staff is a large part of what makes our practice successful! We are blessed to have such a great team of nurses who care for and about our patients. If you have a story you'd like to share about our nurses and some way they connected with or helped your family, please let us know!

Brittney, LPN

Why did you choose to go into nursing?

I knew I wanted to go into nursing since I was 8. I had a passion for helping and caring for individuals. The more I worked with the public and got to shadow the health field, the more I wanted to be, and envisioned myself being, a nurse, doing what I loved. I would go to dialysis with my grandma when she did home health and found it very fascinating seeing the one-on-one care patients would receive. I knew then that I wanted to try and help make unpleasant times as stress free as possible.

What do you like best about what you do?

There are so many perks to my career that I love. Having kids run up to you and give you hugs because you made them feel better, the smiles and laughs, letting them help with the exams (especially with siblings), and the curiosity that they portray. Siblings are fun to
work with because while doing an exam with one, the other is able to listen to their heart or stomach making all new noises that they have never heard before. One of the most rewarding things with my job is watching the kids grow up and their personalities grow.

Carol, Clinical Director, RN

Why did you choose to go into nursing?

I chose to go into nursing because both of my grandmothers were nurses.  Nursing is something that I always wanted to do. Doing something else was never part of the plan.

What do you like best about what you do?

Knowing I am making a difference in someone's life-providing loving, compassionate, Christ-driven care to the families of our communities.

Why did you choose to go into nursing?

I originally got into nursing because my mom is a nurse and I always loved going to her work and watching what she did; I thought it was a wonderful career to be a part of.

I love being able to meet different people everyday and making a difference in even one person's life!

I was an aid for years and enjoyed taking care of others.

What do you like best about what you do?

I like doing patient teaching with parents. I really like seeing the kids grow from newborns into rambunctious toddlers. You feel like these kids are a part of your own family.

Why did you choose to go into nursing?

I got involved in nursing through a health occupations 2 year program my junior year; once I started it I decided I really liked helping people and what an impact it made, and I wanted to continue that.

What do you like best about what you do?

I love encouraging the kids, and seeing them laugh. They say the funniest things! I try to make their visit not as scary.

What do you like best about what you do?

The best part of my job is working with the children/families and watching the children grow. Some of the patients who were teenagers when I began at Pediatric Consultants now have their own children who come to our practice.

Why did you choose to go into nursing?

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a nurse. I have always felt that God was calling me to be a nurse. I have always had the desire to help people, to make them smile, and to let them know
that there is someone who cares about them and whatever they may be going through.

What do you like best about what you do?

I absolutely love making the kids smile, laugh, and realize that doctor's visits can be fun. I enjoy getting to meet new people and make new friends. I appreciate the opportunity to serve Jesus my Lord in the setting He has placed me in.

Why did you choose to go into nursing?

I chose to go into nursing  because I wanted to be in a field where I could take care of  people, and I have always been interested in studying science and medicine. Nursing is the perfect mix of the two.

What do you like best about what you do?

The best part about my job is building relationships with our patients and their families, and watching our patients grow over time.
